Sun Power Co., Ltd was incorporated in 1996 as a local Myanmar trading company. Sun Power’s strategy was to import high quality brands for the Myanmar market. The company started with the distribution of Siemens’s Solar Cells in the Myanmar market. In the same year, the company also started distributing a successful LM-C (liquid moisture-cure) adhesive for the wood applications under IB-971 brand. In 2000, the company started a business cooperation with National Starch & Chemical (now Henkel) serving the adhesive requirements for the tobacco and beverage industry in Myanmar. \\r\\n\\r\\n \\r\\nIn 2000, Sun Power also expanded into the Myanmar construction market with STO constuction products. Over the next 14 years, Sun Power’s market success enabled the company to gain exclusive agencies with other well-known multi national companies. Sun Power’s markets now include abrasives, adhesives, construction & building materials, food specialties, printing inks, specialist tools and equipment for industrial applications.\\r\\n \\r\\nThe company currently employs more than 150 employees with each business unit being headed by local or expatriate staff or in combination.\\r\\nThe company’s headquarters is in Yangon with a branch office in Mandalay.
